Team Placement is THIS WEEKEND!

It it imperative that players are present to allow us to place them in the correct team.

If you’re player will not be attending their placement session, please email info@centralstarsbasketball.com, if you have not already done so.

All session will be held at St Kevin’s School in Benowa.

All players must have a basketball to participate in the their team placement session.

If you would like to purchase a ball from the club for $30.00, you must email info@centralstarsbasketball.com before 6pm on Friday.

Please ensure your player has the correct size basketball.

Under 10 – Size 4 ball
Under 12 – Size 5 ball
Under 14 – Size 6 ball
Under 16 and over – Size 7 ball

Session Timetable

Please arrive 10 minuets prior to your session to allow for player registration. Sessions may last up to 2 hours.

Please ensure your player has a water bottle and is wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Players are not permitted to train in bare feet, slides/sandals or crocs.

Under 10 – Saturday 9am
Under 12 – Saturday 11am
Under 14 – Saturday 1pm
Under 16 – Sunday 9am
Under 18 and Under 21 – Sunday 11am

About the Central Stars

Starting in 2020, the Central Stars are a not for profit basketball club aimed at allowing children to grow and develop through the game of basketball. We junior program offers playing opportunities for players 5 - 20 years of age.

Volunteering with the Stars

The Central Stars could not function without our very generous volunteers!

We are still in need of coaches for this season.

Without a designated coach, we are unable to enter a team into the Gold Coast Basketball Junior League.

If you have a background in basketball, just love the game, or you’re up for a new experience, why not consider coming on board as a coach?!

The club offers designated training sessions run by a professional coach before round 1, and continued support throughout the season. We will also work with you to design training programs that will help you assist your squad to become the best team they can.

When it comes to game time, the support doesn’t stop. You’ll have a team manager with you on the bench and continued encouragement from our management committee and the whole club!
